Sherman Oaks, Calif. (Aug. 27, 2015) – Krypton Radio, the world’s most popular geek culture radio station, has begun production on a new original science fiction radio drama called Halfway Home: Adventures in the Asteroid Belt.

The series tells the story of Spilvin Breyman, a mid-level engineer sent to Halfway Station on the asteroid Ceres to find traces of an ancient extraterrestrial civilization. When he arrives he is ordered, against his will, to help Station Commander Toshiro Carter shut down the entire colony. Breyman must unravel the secrets of the Station and truly strange life forms from beyond our solar system while he strives to save the Belter’s entire way of life.

Written and produced by station manager Gene Turnbow, Halfway Home is planned to be a seasonal offering, alternating one season on, one season off, and produced in ten episode blocks with each episode running between 15 and 20 minutes in length. Casting is still in progress, but actors have been selected for the roles of Commander Carter (to be played by Kevin Rhodes), Constance Shapiro (to be played by Vic Shapiro), & Charles Raven (to be played by Charles Raven). No specific date is set, but the first episodes are expected to play on Krypton Radio in October of 2015.

Once the series is firmly established, the property will be explored for new opportunities in transmedia.
